Beliefs inform actions
The people of Community UCC believe in the integrity of each person’s faith journey, and in the importance of being able to count on each other. Ask any two people a question about God and you’ll get insightful, considered, and open answers—which might not agree!
Some of us gain strength from roots in mainstream Protestantism while others are informed by teachers within and beyond the Christian tradition. You’ll hear “God, the mother and father” in the Lord’s prayer and “God, He” when we sing Christmas carols. Walk a labyrinth, draw a mandala, and receive ashes on your forehead on Ash Wednesday. Study the works of scientists, make a scrapbook, be inspired by the art of members and friends.
So what do “we” believe? Look at what we’ve done and what we are doing.

“God has told you, O mortal, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice,
and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?”
