Living Your Faith
- Volunteer your skills and talents. From carpentry to yard work we need help to keep things ship shape. Work on your own or with someone else.
- Roll up your sleeves at one of the “all hands on deck” 2010 seasonal workdays scheduled for May 15, September 11 and November 20.
- Spend some time to keep our computers up and running.
- Watch for and report items you see that need attention.

What does the Property Ministry do?
We try to reflect CUCC’s commitment to live our faith in action by … Caring for others, Caring for community, and Caring for CUCC. We lead the congregation in coordinating volunteers and contractors so that CUCC might be good stewards of our property. Let’s all work together by:
- Respecting CUCC buildings and grounds – it is OUR church home.
- Keeping a positive attitude and having fun as we work TOGETHER to reach our goals.
Our 2010 Property Ministry goals are:
- To care for our grounds and building with the same attention and love we show to others.
- To make CUCC buildings and grounds reflect our warm and welcoming congregation as well as our philosophy that no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Community United Church of Christ.
2010 is offering not only challenges but opportunities for the Property Ministry and the congregation. All of our projects will be completed to be as environmentally sensitive as possible.
Projects for 2010 include:
- Essential repairs and replacements
- Sanctuary windows
- Upgrade of the Dixie Trail parking lot
- Improved landscaping for people and wildlife to demonstrate CUCC’s welcoming nature.
What do you like about serving on the Property Ministry?
"The Property Ministry provides me an opportunity and a challenge to make CUCC as warm and welcoming in our physical appearance as we are in the congregation. We have a lot to offer our neighbors and community with the many activities and ministries we embrace. Our physical surroundings are often taken for granted, but they are also a part of who we are as a congregation. The Property Ministry offers me the opportunity improve our outward face to the community." -- Lena
