How do I use the dish sterilizer?

Directions for using the sterilizer (including turning it on, draining it, and turning it off) are on a laminated page on the counter above the dishwasher.  Remember to wash the dishes in the sink using soap.  The sterilizer does NOT wash – just sterilizes.

I smell gas.

The 2nd stovetop pilot light from the left is probably out.  Lift off the two hobs (use oven mitt!).  Now raise the panel by lifting from the front.  In the center between the two burners you should see a small flame peaking through a bean-sized hole.  If not, with the gas knob OFF, light the little flame with a match.  Not sure what you should see?  Check pilot lights 1, 3, 4 or 5.

We’ve run out of coffee.  Whom do I tell?

After you have checked the kitchen wall cabinets and freezer, call Gary Smith.  He’ll reorder our shade-grown, Fair Trade coffee from the UCC.
We’ve run out of – paper products, lemonade, sugar, creamer.  Whom do I tell?  After you have checked the appropriate cabinets and closets, call Sue Rogge.

Who washes the cloth tablecloths and dish towels?

You do.

Who washes the cloth napkins?

Jane Smith.  Put them in the flowered pillowcase provided in the storage box, leave on kitchen counter, call Jane to let her know they are waiting for her.
