“Everybody has that little spark of God in them…. It’s a new chance to meet a new person, someone who is seeking something, like you. Who knows? You might end up with a very good friend, another seeker.”
-- Sue

What do the Greeters do?
We greet! At the 10:30am worship service, we arrive at 10:15 and begin saying “hello” in the narthex. We help newcomers find their way around the building and new families discover where their children will go to church school. If a newcomer seems inclined to linger after worship, we invite them to join us at Fellowship Hour and introduce them to others. Our job is to help people (newcomers and long-timers) feel at home.
When do you meet?
We don’t! Each greeter chooses one or two months each year. He or she is responsible for greeting at all of the 10:30 worship services. We swap with each other when schedule conflicts arise.
How do you connect to the congregation?
We are a committee of the Welcoming, Fellowship and Growth Ministry.
Why do you like serving on this committee?
“I’m a people person; it appeals to me. It’s an easy job if you think about it…to help the church out when you don’t have as much time as you’d like to do other things.” Sue Cottle
