People of all ages who love to learn new things are welcome to attend. This year's programs have primarily focused on North Carolina. We have heard about the renewable energy in our forests, the fun in searching for gold, exploring the state with Tom Ernhardt, and visiting the Walnut Creek Wetland Center. Every November we invite Nancy Olson, proprietor of Quail Ridge Books, to review her favorite new books. Advents we invite the congregation to donate gifts for people who eat at the Meals on Wheels congregate center. At our December meeting we wrap these gifts.

Join women of all ages for an evening of conversation and laughter as we explore development of our souls' creativity and support each other on our life journeys. Recent SIS offerings included: a gathering of "Greek Goddesses" at Kathy Clift's home with a Greek meal provided truly meant for goddesses, learning new card games, going to dinner and the theatre together, sharing our favorite books, trying out Julia Cameron creativity experiences, and eating at potlucks. We make donations of toiletries to the women's shelter as well. Every fall we go on retreat to the NC beach (photo attached). Come envision new possibilities and share your thoughts with others as part of we.

Wear:  comfortable clothes and shoes
Contact:  Pastor Steve Halsted

After warming up with stretching exercises, we move through ten Tai Chi movements which have been modified for people with movement limitations.  In a standing position, we do the movement leading with the left foot, ground our energy, then repeat with the right foot, and finish by grounding our energy and meditating.  Movements are performed slowly to music.  No experience is required.

“I need a time like this…the group is supportive.  I like knowing we’re all focused in the same way through physical and spiritual needs.” – Shannon
