People of all ages who love to learn new things are welcome to attend. Recent guest speakers include an archeologist who spoke about his studies of southern family cemeteries, a geologist, an avid birder, and Pastor Steve who showed us slides from his Italian sabbatical trip. Every November we invite Nancy Olson, proprietor of Quail Ridge Books, to review her favorite new books. Advents we invite the congregation to donate gifts for people who eat at the Meals on Wheels congregate center. At our December meeting we wrap these gifts. Every year we cook and serve a meal at the Helen Wright Center for Women.

Tai Chi

Wear:  comfortable clothes and shoes
Contact:  Pastor Steve Halsted

After warming up with stretching exercises, we move through ten Tai Chi movements which have been modified for people with movement limitations.  In a standing position, we do the movement leading with the left foot, ground our energy, then repeat with the right foot, and finish by grounding our energy and meditating.  Movements are performed slowly to music.  No experience is required.
