Am I ready to say publicly, 'I am a Christian?"
What does that mean to me?
Am I ready to claim my place in the church?

Confirmation is a two-year course.  You can enter the cycle in either year.

  • 1st Sundays you will join the other youth in worship.
  • During eight blocks of classes, four each school year, you’ll focus on what it might mean to say "I am a Christian."  Here's where you discuss THE BIG QUESTIONS.  You'll also learn about our heritage in the United Church of Christ so you can decide if UCC is the kind of Christian you want to be.
  • After two years you decide if you want to confirm your faith and become a full participant in Community UCC.  During the service of confirmation you'll make a public statement of where you are on your faith journey.  Then we have a huge party to celebrate!
What happens when church school isn't focusing on THE BIG QUESTIONS?  You'll join Śānti and the older youth and sometimes (5th Sundays) the Journey youth.

For more details, check with Śānti.
