Dear Friend,
Welcome to Community UCC!

Thank you for sharing your time with us. I hope your visit was meaningful and that you received a warm welcome. I understand that visiting a church can be as overwhelming as being the new kid at school, so thank you for taking the first step. I’d like to share some information about our church that may help answer some questions you have and give you a clearer picture of what being a participant at Community UCC looks like.

At Community UCC we take seriously the call to Inclusivity; to social, economic, environmental and racial justice as well as to authenticity in faith formation and in caring for one another.  Our hope is to reflect the Beloved Community that God desires for all by embodying the spirit of Love in our faith and practices. We are a group of real people, with real struggles, and real faith who have covenanted together to both support one another, and to serve our greater community.

What makes this congregation unique is not our history, our social action or focus on environmental justice, but our community spirit. We believe that being the church is more about building relationships than the buildings themselves. While we are proud of our religious heritage, rather than be held captive by what “has been,” we are compelled to create a culture that is life-giving and celebratory of what life can and should be…for all of God’s children.

At Community UCC we believe that God is Still Speaking, and that God is LOVE; the kind of love that welcomes ALL into the circle, where babies to teens and everyone in between provide the light by which our path is made clear.  Thank you for adding your light to this community.

I would be happy to schedule a time to talk more with you about Community UCC if you would like. I have included my email and phone number below. We hope to see you again, soon!

With Love and Light,
