Ministry with Children and Families

Our children are a very special part of CUCC. We strive for the children to know that they are valued and loved members of our congregation. Each week our worship service includes a special message for the children.

During this strange time of COVID we have worked together on our annual Plant a Row for the Hungry garden. This annual children's garden helps feed the hungry in our community. Over the summer children and their families took turns tending the garden and sharing their photos. This fall we are growing pumpkins to donate.

Until we can gather for our normal Sunday morning worship and Sunday School program we are looking forward to seeing each other at outdoor events. Coming up are our annual Blessing of the Animals in October and a S'mores Party in November at the fire pit which will replace our annual hot dog cookout. We hope to have a virtual Christmas pageant in December.  Information about these times together will be in the CUCC Weekly eNews.

Hopefully we will be able to return to church soon and enjoy the Children's Choir, valentine making and cooking for the congregational fellowship time, the Easter egg hunt and watermelon seed contest!  We use the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum again for K-5 and the Shine curriculum with preschoolers.
